a check in

In school, we often start our days with what we refer to as a 'check-in'... this time gives us an opportunity to talk openly about how much this program is effecting our god-damn lives.

While it's easy to blame our incredibly intense program for effecting our life, it's also a rare moment when we are able to talk opening and very bluntly about life, how raw we feel in the world + how we often feel alone in it all. Even though we often feel alone in the world, in the time during the check-in, we actually feel quite connected. A connection that fuels empathy, empowerment + most importantly a safe place for us to just be.

It's my hope that this space is a place for you to just be, i hope that in some way this blog becomes a place to 'check-in', to feel like you matter. Because in my eyes, you really do.
